IPAN Anaerobic and Microaerophilic Workstation
Positive-pressure anaerobic and microaerophilic workstation with forced convection, Super-Pd oxygen removal and full-chamber bio-decontamination.

A controlled anaerobic and microaerophilic environment
The chamber provides an oxygen-free or low-oxygen environment for the inoculation, isolation and cultivation of anaerobic bacteria. Optional UV lamps and high-efficiency ULPA filters greatly reduce the risk of contamination inside the working chamber.
- Positive-pressure chamber with straight-in, straight-out sample transfer
- Directional airflow keeps temperature, humidity and gas concentration uniform
- Chemical oxygen removal — no vacuum pump to maintain or replace
Design features
Positive-pressure design
The chamber runs at positive pressure, so samples and both hands can pass straight in and out without an airlock cycle.
Forced convection circulation
Directional air-duct technology circulates the chamber atmosphere so temperature, humidity and gas concentration stay uniform — and the whole environment recovers quickly after a transfer.
Full-chamber bio-decontamination
Construction uses ageing-resistant organic material tested to National Physical Laboratory standards. The interior is compatible with UV-Light, VHP and Clorox decontamination, and incoming air passes a standard biological sterilisation system.
No airlock pumping
Bare-hand operation is faster and uses less gas. Chemical oxygen removal is prepared in advance, which avoids the maintenance and replacement cost of a vacuum pump.
Explosion-protected design
A built-in splash-proof PUD power socket supports external equipment, with arc-protected circuitry and explosion-proof heaters.
Alarm and indication system
Low-pressure and power-failure alarms, airflow / temperature / anaerobic-level indication, and a leak alarm that actively shuts the inlet valve when a leak is detected.
Super-Pd oxygen-removal catalyst
Eight times the oxygen-removal capacity of standard palladium pellets, over four years of service life, oxygen concentration down to 5 ppm or lower, and no routine drying or reactivation.
Biological detoxifier
Carmolesive detoxifier with more than two years of service life removes growth-inhibiting impurities from the chamber atmosphere.

Low-oxygen applications
Beyond microbiology, the low-oxygen configuration is used for neuron, cardiomyocyte, stem cell and tumour cell research, vaccine development, antibody therapeutics, CAR-T cell therapy, IVF, and microaerophilic bacteria work.
Configuration, chamber volume and fitting options depend on the plates you work with and how many operators need access at once — confirm with us before ordering.
